18/12/2020 | 8 MIN READ

As the days get longer and the thermometer starts to creep up, the promise of holidays stretches before us like a forgotten dream. This year, more than any other, we are hungrily eyeing off time away; a long-awaited chance to relax, unwind and retreat back into nature.  After months of lockdowns and travel restrictions, we look toward both sea and tree changes as our holiday homecomings, where the allure of rolling hills and glistening ocean waters has us counting down to when summer can truly begin.

Whether you find yourself drawn to coast or hinterland, Australia’s east boasts endless opportunities for full relaxation. From the star-studded, beach-infused glamour of the NSW north coast, to the lush, sleepy vistas of the southern highlands, each trip promises something different from the last: an array of blissful retreats that come minus the jet lag.

So how will your summer be spent?  Will you be drinking cocktails by the beach or hiking along the nation’s most picturesque walking tracks? Sampling award-winning wines or glamping under the stars?
