31st January 2022 -  Leading residential agency McGrath Estate Agents today announced highly regarded sales agent, principal and trainer Danny Grant has been appointed as Head of Performance and Innovation for the group.

Chris Mourd, Head of Franchise for McGrath said, “We are fully committed to providing our team with the best possible training and mentoring programs while also rolling out enhanced innovative tools to increase agent productivity across the group.  For us, to fully support and invest in talent growth and productivity is a focus for us now more than ever and will be at the forefront of our recruitment drive this coming year.”

John McGrath, Founder and Executive Director of McGrath concurs.  “Innovation around technology will play a critical role in the success of any high performing sales professional.  To have Danny come back to the McGrath fold is extremely pleasing, after having carved out a very successful career as a sales agent, innovator, trainer and tech investor.

“Technology is in his DNA and Danny has been very effective in combining traditional real estate practice with best of breed technology applications.  So to have him join in a newly created role to focus on performance, growth and innovation I believe will give our agents a huge advantage in not only increasing their productivity, but also at a transactional level,” Mr McGrath said.

Danny said, “McGrath has always been a leader in innovation and performance and I’ve decided to return to a company where its Founder again wants to raise the bar in terms of innovation, customer experience and agent performance.  Both John and Chris have clearly demonstrated to me a real desire to support the agent network, encourage career progression and provide the tools to increase their productivity and be the world’s best.  That is a real foundation of their business structure.  It is a nice moment for me to be part of that and to contribute to that belief.

He adds, “My initial focus is to ensure alignment throughout the network in terms of training, sales process and agent marketing.  McGrath continues to experience a growth trajectory; continuity and innovation is important to all agents, so they can focus on their clients and transacting property.”

Danny also explains, “Real estate isn’t an industry known for its early adoption of technology, however it has had a huge impact on how we have marketed property in the last 15 years and will have another huge impact in the next five.

“Covid however has offered an opportunity for organisations with an innovative mindset to integrate technology into their every day work with real success.  Covid has taught us we need to be able to transact real estate remotely and make the whole process easier for buyers and sellers with systems that are less reliant on human intervention.  It then allows agents to be more productive by focusing on delivering a better client experience. McGrath was one company ahead of the curve in how they dealt with transacting during the various pandemic lockdowns.”

Danny Grant brings with him a wealth of industry experience spanning more than 20 years, encompassing property management, residential sales, franchise owner, real estate trainer, and proptech investor.  As founding shareholder of Realtair (owner of online streaming Auction Now!), he has extensive experience in developing systems and platforms for agent efficiencies and productivity.   He was a sales agent at McGrath Lower North Shore (2006-2010), Co-Principal of Ray White Lower North Shore (2009-2016); Co-Principal of Province which was acquired by The Agency (2017-2020).  He has achieved many accolades along the way, including 2011 REINSW Award for excellence in Agent Marketing.

Chris Mourd adds, “Danny has a single minded focus in providing the necessary tools and skills for agents to deliver better outcomes.  This will centre on higher levels of performance and efficiencies in order to achieve maximum results.”
