McGrath launches Coronavirus safety initiative

12th March 2020 – McGrath Limited (ASX:MEA) announced today that it will proactively trial a safe working environment for its team operating from its Pyrmont Headquarters and a select number of six sales offices in Sydney Metro precincts for a 24 hour period on Monday 16th March.    

McGrath CEO Geoff Lucas said “While we have not been impacted internally, we want to proactively plan and test our operating systems to ensure our business continues to run smoothly and effectively should the need arise to work remotely.    

 
“We believe this is a prudent and wise measure to mitigate the risks of spread of COVID-19 in light of the World Health Organisation’s advice for governments and businesses to step up their containment efforts. 

 
“We have been keeping a close eye on any developments with the Corona Virus as the health of clients and staff are of the utmost importance.  We have developed a range of contingencies should the situation requires, however we have not found it necessary to implement any measures at our open homes inspections and auctions at this point. 

 
“We are fortunate in having recently implemented new enhanced technology platforms so our sales teams have advanced tools to service clients remotely, quickly and safely,” he said.

 
Mr Lucas added that the company has urged its team to be aware of the increased hygiene practices, and refrain from handshaking and the regular use of hand sanitisers as precautionary measures.
