With Victoria reimposing stage 3 lockdown for six weeks on metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire after a rise in COVID-19 cases, we want to assure you we are proactively working to adhere to the restrictions in place by the Victorian State Government so that we play our part in helping control the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

So for us, whilst we’re still open for business, it’s slightly different until we see the restrictions in place for everyone’s safety reduced or lift.

Here’s how we’re working during COVID-19 in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire.

Our agents are still contactable

Even though our local offices in these areas are working remotely, our agents are still working and our offices have staff members practicing social distancing.

We remain easily contactable via phone, email and social media or video conferencing. We would love to hear from you and answer any questions you may have about one our properties, the local real estate market, your own home or any property related advice you may be seeking during this period.

You can still search, find and inspect properties online

Your search for a new place to call home, or perhaps your bucket list idea for a complete sea change doesn’t need to stop because of government restrictions. Our website mcgrath.com.au remains your go to resource for all our latest listings and rental properties.

Many of our properties now feature virtual tours, and all our properties are captured with high quality professional photographs and floor plans - you can easily inspect properties for sale from the comfort of your own home.

Furthermore, our website houses the new McGrath Insights Centre - your go-to-resource for information rich, practical real estate content. From thought leadership articles, in-depth guides, checklists, McGrath Report 2020 and our popular McGrath Magazine, our Insights Centre can provide you with relevant and up-to-date information.

We will continue to update the Insights Centre with relevant, timely and practical insights from John McGrath and our wider network of industry leaders, about what is happening in the property market and how it impacts you. To help pass the time while at home, we’ll also be sharing practical tips for homeowners, investors, buyers and renters, to help ensure you are in a strong position post these current restrictions.

Auction Live Streaming

Face to face auctions have been banned across metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire and all our auctions in these areas have been moved across to our online auction platform.

McGrath clients have the opportunity to watch, register, bid, buy and exchange on live property auctions. This service will ensure bidders can still participate and bid at an auction remotely.

Currently regional Victoria is not impacted by these changes and therefore on-site auctions with 20 registered bidders and public inspections are permitted in regional Victoria (areas not part of metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire).
