Close to beaches, schools, and public transport, Caringbah is an excellent place to raise a family. Its significant business district means that it is also an attractive option for many commercial buyers.
If you have children…
Caringbah is well supplied with schools. Caringbah Selective High School, Endeavour Sports High School, and De La Salle College are all in the area, though it’s worth noting that De La Salle is only for boys in years 7-10. Caringbah is not as densely settled as nearby St George.

Landmarks
Caringbah lies at the heart of Sutherland Shire, approximately 27km from the Sydney CBD.
Caringbah’s central business district is, well, central. The surrounding areas are all technically part of Caringbah, but they’re often called by other names:
Dolan’s Bay is in Caringbah’s south-east. Travel far enough in this direction and you’ll come to an area sometimes called Port Hacking.
Lilli Pilli is the south-western portion of Caringbah, all the way to the Port Hacking river.
Head North from Caringbah’s business district, and you’ll come to Taren Point. Of all the areas of Caringbah, Taren Point feels the most industrial.
