Leading residential real estate group, McGrath Estate Agents, today announced the opening of a new Brighton-Le-Sands office to service the rapidly growing St George region.
The new McGrath Brighton-le-Sands will concentrate on the suburbs of Brighton-le-Sands, Monterey, Ramsgate, Sans Souci, Sandringham, Dolls Point, Taren Point, Kyeemagh, Bexley, Rockdale and Arncliffe which have until now been serviced by the McGrath St. George office, located in South Hurstville.
John McGrath, Chief Executive of McGrath, said the area’s proximity to the airport and Sydney CBD along with lifestyle attractions such as cafes and beaches, underpinned its appeal to a wide range of property buyers.
“The fundamentals that buyers typically look for in making a sound property purchase – whether for their own home or as an investment – are readily found within this region,” said Mr McGrath.
“Median prices for houses and apartments represent good opportunities for buyers although our existing St George office has recorded some extraordinary sales results in surrounding suburbs.”
Notable amongst these are the sale of 151 Kyle Bay Parade, Kyle Bay, 76 Waitara Parade, Hurstville Grove, 63 Vista Street, Sans Souci and 28 Bowden Crescent, Connells Point, all of them suburb records set in 2010. The median unit price at June 2010 for the Rockdale Local Government area was $441,000 and $730,000 for houses.
The franchisees at Brighton-Le-Sands are Matthew King and Kieran Bresnahan, who have been servicing the area from the South Hurstville office for three years and prior to that for four years from other regional McGrath offices.
Principal Matthew King said the greater Rockdale area was poised for considerable growth through council investment in infrastructure.
“We have already seen Wolli Creek take off with intense residential development around Arncliffe,” said Mr King. “It’s only a few moments from Newtown and the city, making it very appealing for younger buyers and it has a major train station on the door step.
“The more established areas, with their many fine examples of Federation and Californian bungalows on large blocks of land, are a magnet to families who are priced out of the east and inner west.”
Mr. King adds, “Your dollar buys a lot more in this region and the strength of the McGrath network has seen many of our sales go to buyers from out of area.
“Having a stronger local presence through our new office at Brighton-Le-Sands is a strategic move as more people discover the value to be found here.”
The area is well-supported by public transport with the Illawarra line providing train services from the CBD to Cronulla Beach and Waterfall, with links to Wollongong and the South Coast. There are is a wide variety of public and private schools, parks, sporting facilities and golf courses.
The new office will be staffed by Matthew King, Kelly King, Lauren Chesher, Xeni Kaliaropoulos, Bill Tsounias, John Kastellorios, Liam Tsaprazis, George Panagopoulos, and Glenn MacKay.McGrath Brighton-le-Sands is located at 326 Bay Street. Call 02 8579-9788
