Forming part of a 1.5km stretch of beach protected by a 100m high sandstone headland, MacMasters Beach was named after Alan MacMaster, who owned 600 acres of land in the area which was originally granted to John Tooth. MacMasters is set within a valley, bordered to the north by Cockrone Lake, the Pacific Ocean to the east and the expansive Bouddi National Park to the south.
