Fresh from four years as GM with a nationwide real estate group in New Zealand, John Stewart recently crossed the Tasman to take up the role of General Manager at McGrath's Manly, Seaforth and Frenchs Forest offices. John managed a team of industry professionals based in Wellington, successfully rebuilding a national real estate brand through operational restructuring and redefining staff roles, office and online training systems, and business partner alliances. 

An expert problem solver, John has also been a Franchise Manager with Lockwood Homes, a NZ-based international housing group with interests across Australasia, the Pacific and the Middle East. He later became sales and marketing manager for the group.  Subsequent to that, he was CEO of Athletics NZ and responsible for all aspects of that country’s national sport. 

“I was a fairly serious runner to national level,” John says. “Now I’m dedicated to fitting into last year’s jeans!”

John’s move to McGrath was spearheaded by a desire to work for an organisation he has long held in high regard.
