The decision to sell my charming Sydney home was a tough one. Geoff respected this and throughout the process went overboard to ensure all aspects were addressed in his usual understanding way, along with a totally professional approach gained from years of experience.

Due to overseas volunteer work my base, from initial contact to final settlement, was Thailand. This in no way hindered the process. What can I say except that I am totally overwhelmed by the result Geoff achieved in selling our late Mum’s house. Not only was it a good financial result in a tricky market, the sale was so well organised that it ran swiftly and smoothly. With Geoff’s constant support and guidance we sold the house two and a half weeks before auction day and more than six per cent over our price guidance, so both seller and buyer were happy!

Geoff knows the local area and the property sales process very well and more importantly he is an excellent communicator and good judge of character; which is vital as selling property is more like being a matchmaker needing to find the right buyer for the right property at the right price.

I am a bit biased as Geoff and I used to be local Sea Scout leaders together and with prior knowledge of his trustworthiness, work ethic and people skills I knew it would be a pleasure working with him (and his sunny disposition). As they said in a Scout training workshop ‘people don’t plan to fail they just fail to plan’ and with Geoff from our first meeting the whole process was mapped out so we and he could manage our expectations and be aware of timing and what to expect each step of the way.

Little did I know how tough Geoff’s negotiating skills would be when it was time came to close the deal – I am astounded by his professionalism and have no hesitation recommending Geoff to future property sellers.

Before I sold my investment apartment, I checked out approximately 12 real estate agents. I am someone who doesn't have a plethora of investment properties so I wanted to get the absolute best price for my unit.
 
Once I met Geoff I knew I had the right guy. He was approachable and friendly but also knowledgeable and had a certain flair that made him someone you enjoyed talking to. I knew that buyers would respond positively to him.
 
Moreover it was evident he was interested in you and genuinely dynamic in his approach to his work. When asked about previous sales he was happy to not only talk about his good results but have you contact past clients at your leisure.
 
I got the clear notion that Geoff wasn't pumping up the picture – his estimate for the price he would obtain and the actual sale price obtained were virtually identical. When asked how he would obtain the price he had a clear answer - not a load of generalities as many other agents did.
 
Geoff was careful to ensure that he answered any question I had. This didn't stop when he'd got the nod for the job either – he was always available to answer questions throughout the course of the matter.
 
To put matters simply, Geoff got a great price for my apartment, he did it professionally, he achieved the result fast and his advice was excellent.
 
If I were to sell another property I would certainly use him again.
